Meet The Team
We have a strong team of 25 staff across our Durham and Teesside offices, from engineering apprentices though to directors, delivering design projects to the highest of standards using the latest digital engineering techniques.
Many of our team members have been with Sine for over a decade, and our director team have over 80 years industry experience between them.
Our Director Team:

David Warner
Managing Director
David joined Sine in 2009 and has been responsible for the design of electrical services in large educational, healthcare and industrial projects. David has a passion for innovation and sustainability and specialises in solar photovoltaic, battery storage and EV charging solutions. He has gained a reputation within the industry for his commitment and attention to detail.
David was promoted to Director at Sine in May 2020 and became Managing Director in June 2026.

Jamie Smith
Technical Director
Jamie joined Sine in 2006 and is an experienced mechanical services designer and Accredited Energy Assessor and Low Carbon Consultant with considerable experience in sustainable design methods across a wide range of projects.
Jamie was promoted to Director at Sine in May 2020 and became Technical Director in June 2026.

Matthew Carter
Director
Matthew joined Sine in 2007 as an electrical building services designer and is a valuable member of the team and a key figure in the success of the practice. Matthew takes a lead in both design projects and mentoring of engineers.
Matthew was promoted to Associate Director in 2022 and became a Director in June 2026, continuing to head up our Teesside office.

Mark Arundale
Associate
Mark joined Sine as Technical Director in 2005 and took on the role as Managing Director in 2016. His experience covers healthcare, educational, leisure, commercial and industrial sectors, including a number of prestigious Middle East projects. His technical ability, innovative approach and positive attitude is key to the successful delivery of our projects.
In line with Sine’s leadership successions plan, Mark handed over the MD role to David in June 2026
