Sited on Seaburn seafront at Roker, Sine Consulting Ltd were employed by the Inn Collection Group to develop the Mechanical and Electrical Design for a new hotel.

The new premises were to add to The Inn Collection Group’s growing portfolio of ‘pubs with rooms’, providing good quality food and rooms across the north of England and was the second of their new build Hotel sites.

The hotel has 42 bedrooms, most sea facing with Juliet balcony with view across the beech front onto the North Sea.

At ground floor level there is a large family restaurant facility providing 150 dining covers.

The scheme has been designed around three key principles, comfortable to both staff and residents, simple to control and energy efficient.

High efficiency heating plant was employed to minimise energy costs and maintain comfortable environment to all bedroom and circulation spaces.

Within the bar and restaurant area variable refrigerant volume (VRV) systems are employed to condition the space, working in conjunction a mechanical ventilation system incorporating heat recovery, with exposed ductwork at high level.
