A new purpose built 60 bed dementia care home located in Barrow-in-Furness for Cumbria Country Council. 

The two storey building has five wings housing the resident accommodation and a further wing which includes communal area, kitchen, laundry and staff facilities.  

LED lighting with automatic presence sensing is provided throughout the building, together with roof mounted photovoltaic and solar heating panels.  

Heating is provided by a high efficiency gas fired boiler plant serving underfloor heating to the majority of areas. Measures have been taken to include water saving devices wherever possible.
